Banī Ḥarām settled in a ravine of Mount Salaʿ after the Prophet ﷺ gave them permission to do so. Because of that this ravine came to be known as Shaʿb Banī Ḥarām. There they built their mosque, which came to be known as Masjid Banī Ḥarām.
