Ibn Saʿd relates from Marwān ibn Abī Saʿīd ibn al-Muʿallā that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drank from it and blessed it, and said:
“It is a spring from among the springs of Paradise.”
He also narrates from Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting on the edge of the well of Gharas and said:
“Last night I saw (in a dream) that I was sitting by a spring from among the springs of Paradise,”
meaning this very well.
He also narrates from Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“The well of Gharas is from the springs of Paradise.”
And he also narrates from ʿUmar ibn al-Ḥakam that he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“How excellent a well Gharas is! It is from the springs of Paradise, and its water is the sweetest of waters.”
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have sweet (drinking) water brought for him from it, and he performed ghusl from it as well.
He also narrates from Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said:
We came with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to Qubā’, and we reached the well of Gharas. There was someone drawing water from it while mounted on a donkey, and he would stand there most of the day yet not find much water in it. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rinsed his mouth into a bucket and poured it back into the well, whereupon it gushed forth with abundant water.
