
This the third mosque among the four main mosques among the Masajid al-Fath. The sources agree in calling it “Masjid ʿAlī”. It lies to the south-west of the Mosque of Salmān al-Fārisī.
This is taken as an indication that some later writers mistakenly gave this name to the Mosque of Abū Bakr but historically this has no basis.
